Carol

I just watched the CBS documentary on this case; I had never heard about it before and was appalled that anyone would interpret the evidence as suicide. The whole stinks of payoff and coverup.
I would like to say to Nancy that most intelligent logical thinking viewers KNOW she is guilty and KNOWS that she is going to pay for her crme some day; either here or in the next life. Just because it hasn't been proven in a courtroom yet doesn't mean she is innocent in our eyes. She had total motive and obviously paid off many military personnel to help her. Maybe she "had something" on someone and is using that as her "ace in the hole" of silence on her behalf.
I would like to offer Tracy my deepest deepest condolences.
I pray that some day someone who does know the truth comes forward out of guilt and shame, and confesses every detail of how they helped Nancy do this horrible disgusting deed to that wonderful, loving, beautiful man. I can tell from his photo that he was an angel on earth.
Bless you Tracy!

If I were the detective investigating this case, I would interview everyone who knows Nancy Shue and her present husband to see if I could find out who sent the mysterious warning letter. Also, I would try to find out where Col.Shue spent the two hours between leaving his house and wrecking his car--he had to have been somewhere in the vicinity during that time. The police have botched this horribly!

Laura

I am happy that 48 hours did their investigation but surely left alot out. He had defensive wounds all over his body. He had his left pinky removed. If you look into military, American, torture techniques, they use electric torture with probes on nipples and finger with grounds on thighs. He had burns on thighs. Resuscitation probably lead to lidocaine levels. Why is it that only the 2 military funded people, psych eval and Dr. Vincent Di Maio are the only two that think he commited suicide? If you research prior unexplained military deaths deemed as suicide and families questioning that, Dr. Vincent Di Maio and a military psych eval is always involved. This is surely a military coverup. Noted is the congressional inquiry (Statement of Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. 12 September 1996 Subcommittee on Personnel, Senate Armed Services committee ) into how many deaths of MILITARY are listed like this and not investigated. I guess the USAF never heard of OSI becuase by law all military deaths are to be done by federal sources. Guess what, they were at the site but destroyed evidence. Theory, the ex wifes new husband was special ops. Pilot, private airfield. What if Philip was investigating him and found him drug running. Then using his skills, tortured and killed Philip. Theory, the ex wife used her skills to have him tortured. Why would his son not testify?People are commenting on the money issue. So Tracy got money, how much has she spent on this investigation? I know Tracy, it is not about money, it is about truth and her love of her life.

Catherine

Nancy Shue totally murdered her ex. Why isn't more being done about this? I can't believe she is still free!

I have just seen the episode of 48 Hours and I am baffled by the conduct of the officials representing the State of Texas. However, with the airing of the 48 Hours episode tonight, there is renewed hope for some real justice for Tracy and her family.
My thoughts and prayers are with Col. Shue's family. May God bless all and bring some comfort to your lives.
Thank you.

The State if Texas should be ashamed of the conduct of The Attorney General, Gregg Abbott,Kendall County DA Bruce Curry ,and JP Nancy White. They have protected the murderer of Col. Philip Shue for six years now in order to maintain the status quo, "the good old boy network" and military money that flows to the San Antonio area. .Nancy White ruled on the cause and manner of death of Col Shue as a "Lay Coroner" in Kendall County Texas. She has no legal/or medical degrees. She is totally incompetent to function in that capacity. The State of Texas needs to do away with "Lay Coroners". This political job is as useless in the 21st century as the "Hide Inspector." Vincent De Maio is a "Liar for Hire" he will testify to any rediculous theory .(ie. The Phil Spector Case and the murder in Dallas of the homeless man in the car windshield).Col Philip Shue was murdered and his murderers walk free today .You've got to wonder how some elected officials and US AF officers can sleep nights knowing their actions allow a murderer to be free.

JusticeFourAll

I just read in the Austin Stateman about Laredo Texas and their new Medical Examiner. Looks like Texas just bought a new nightmare from Alabama. Didn't Laredo's Medical Examiner go to prison a few years back! DiMaio has some good company in the state of Texas.

Dottie

Those deposition clips are unbelievable. I've never seen anything like it. It is truly frightening to think we are at the mercy of morons like DiMaio and that JP from Texas.

Flyboy

I knew Nancy Shue and Don Timpson when I lived in Florida. Never understoond that marriage. It was weird. Everyone was afraid of Timpson. Strange dude.To me anyone taking the Fifth just seems guilty of something.

Horselady

I knew Philip and Tracy Shue when I was in the military. They loved each other and everyone who knew them liked them. They were both kind caring people who were well respected Air Force Officers.
If our country truly cares about the men and women who have sacrificed for this nation, then how could this injustice have been allowed to happen?
I followed the case for a while in the Air Force Times, but lost track until the recent news of 48 Hours.
Way to Go Tracy. Don't let them get away with it.

Ben in Dallas

When is 48 Hours going to be on. I can't wait to see what they do with this story. I'm sick of politicians getting away with lying and I hope something is done about this injustice.

Kate

What a mess they've made of this. Is this typical of Texas investigations? They don't know what they are doing. They should be embarrassed at the very least. The JP and the DA need to go to jail along with the killers.

Dorothy from Ohio

I watched the video clip of Nancy Shue AKA Timpson and couldn't believe what I was seeing. I went to school with her and can't believe what she looks like now. I had seen her in the early 90's in Brookville. What a change. I guess what you are inside eventually shows outside.
I remember her in school as always wanting to be smarter and better than everyone else. It was important for her to always get attention. I really didn't like her very much.
I can't believe she didn't even defend her own son.

Live From New York

What world does Dr. Vincent DiMaio live in? Evidently, not this one where evil abounds. His twitch is a dead give away to his lying personality. Remind me what they did to him at the end of the hearings. I'm so sorry that it has been six very long years, and still no closure. Unfortunately, your family is one among millions where the justice system has failed them. And it promises to get only worse in the days ahead.

Author: Jackie from San Antonio

I read in the San Antonio Express News that San Antonio viewers were "fuming" over the Colonel Philip Shue case not airing last Saturday night. I was glued to the TV and agree with others disappointment that it was postponed.
What I find "curious" with the article is the statements surrounding the suicide conclusion, then the following comment, "a judge later deemed it a homicide". Get real ... Since when does a judge "deem" in a courtroom. He ruled it a homicide. Big Difference!
Its obvious who provides the bread and butter to the SA Express News. Their reporting on this case has been atrocious from the beginning. Has the SA News gotten anything right about the case yet?

Sandy from San Antonio

I have followed Vincent DiMaio's career in the Forensic field. He has a bad track record for saying what he's paid to say. The Philp Spector case in California is a perfect example of his lack of integrity. He goes to the highest bidder and in the Spector case has made a coplete fool of himself; even being laughed at by the jury and courtroom.
It is shameful what he did in the Colonel Shue case. I am glad he is no longer the Medical Examiner in San Antonio. I feel a little safer.

Kimberly from Ohio

I am a military widow of a Marine Colonel who mysteriously died in Iraq. They say it was a gun shot wound to the left temple; unfortunately my husband was right handed. Evidence has been destroyed and manipulated to support their final conclusion. We were going to retire in months and we have three beautiful children who he dearly loved. My husband was not depressed and nothing adds up.I was notifed by the military on my cell phone at 0540 in the morning telling me that my husband self inflicted a gun shot wound to his head. This battle is not over and I will do what I have to to prove my husband was murdered.

Charolette from Wyoming

I am a military widow whose husband also died under mysterious circumstances. I never received any answers and it has been over a decade I have had to endure the lies that were created during the military investigation created to support the final conclusion. Nothing ever made sense. There are too many of us out here and something needs to be done.

S Pittman

This county should be appalled by the non action from the county officials on this young man's death. Suicide? For from it ! When will any justice be done? The whole ordeal has been a complete embarrassment. My hat is off to Traci Shue (Ret. Lt. Col.). She also served our country and this is the gratitude she is given !I can hardly wait for the nationally televised program to come on. Maybe then the country will see what an injustice has been practiced here by our so called "officials"watch for 48 hours televised on Apri 13th

Murder-She-Wrote

It is hard to believe such tragedy and injustice can happen in our country. I have been following this case for a number of years now. Anyone would have to be an idiot to have bought into the original suicide ruling by the JP. Thank God there was a voice of reason in the ruling of Judge Palmer. Now how about law enforcement showing the same reason and investigating the Colonel's murder!

Chris from Austin

I heard something about this story along time ago and followed it for a while. I don't understand why a story like this hasn't make national media? There is something wrong with the justice system when an Air Force Colonel is murdered and no one does anything about it.

Tracy Shue and Col. Shue's Parents:

Tracy, you contacted my office in 2006 alerting us to the dog-and-pony shenanigans not only of the death investigation but of the political shell game that you and your family were subjected to regarding the manner of death of your husband. Here it is since your contact with us 3 years later, I see that the State of Texas is failing to do that which they should be doing. Over the last few years we have had horrific cases out of Texas politically and from a death investigation standpoint. With your permission, at the very least, I would like to highlight this issue by including it on our website -- pointing to the egregious practices that exist militarily and locally and ultimately as well, pointing to your website. I do not have your phone number Tracy, I did at one point, and am unable to locate it this morning. Please email me your number, I will call you and speak to you directly.
